THE 5TH DIMENSION BIG 5 - MALARIA FREE HELICOPTER SAFARI

Depart Johannesburg for the warmer climes of the Waterberg where we will spend two nights an upmarket Safari Lodge. Here in the wild heart of the Bushveld we will get our first chance of spotting the "Big Five" and seeing the largest privately owned collection of white rhino. A special sighting will be that of the rare brown hyena.

Next we swoop down to Jaci's Tree Lodge where only 8 unique rooms have been built into the tree tops. This is a superb opportunity to track down the rare wild dogs in their natural environment as well as sable, gemsbok, springbok and black and white rhino. This is also a "Big Five" destination.

We now wing our way down the Groot Marico river towards short-story writer Herman Charles Bosman and his character Oom Schalk Lourens land where perhaps a wee dram of the potent "Mampoer" can be sampled to clear the senses, before heading off to The Palace in the Pilansberg where the dust of the bushveld can be exchanged for the bright lights of Sun City and its golf courses and casinos.

Finally we settle down to relax at serene Mount Grace in the Magaliesburg to spend time in tranquil, gentle countryside and enjoy pampering in the exclusive health spa. Here is time to ponder on the magnificence of the Africa just experienced and to be reminded by a visit to a site of Mankind's Heritage at the Sterkfontein Caves and The Cradle, where Mrs Ples, who walked the earth two million years ago was discovered in 1947.
